Building Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Communities

WHO WE ARE

LIFEZIM is a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering smallholder farmers, women, and youth in rural and marginalised areas to adopt climate-smart agricultural practices and sustainable livelihood approaches. Drawing on years of grassroots experience, LIFEZIM works to build climate-resilient communities by promoting innovative farming technologies, economic empowerment, and environmental stewardship.

LIFEZIM grew out of a grassroots initiative that began more than a decade ago, when dedicated community volunteers came together to support vulnerable farmers facing recurring droughts and food insecurity. Over the years, this local effort expanded into an organised movement championing climate-smart agriculture, livelihood diversification, and inclusive community development.
Today, LIFEZIM continues to build on that foundation, transforming experience and community trust into structured programs that improve lives and protect the environment.

Born from a grassroots initiative over a decade ago, Livelihoods and Innovation for Empowerment Zimbabwe (LIFEZIM) began with a simple goal: dedicated volunteers coming together to support vulnerable farmers facing recurring droughts. Today, we have grown into an organized movement championing climate-smart agriculture and inclusive community development. We work hand-in-hand with smallholder farmers, women, and youth in rural Zimbabwe to transform community trust into practical solutions that improve lives and protect our environment
